Change the Story
We created an educational campaign through an initiative organized and led by the Department of Justice and non-profit entities with the objective of informing, raising awareness and educating the public about assistance for people at risk or victims of violence.
OBJECTIVE:
Create an educational campaign about the social need that exists around abuse in Puerto Rico to communicate all the tools that the Department of Justice offers to help.
VISION:
Many citizens are unaware of the island's justice system. We have the power of change in our hands, some of us just need to know the tools and help available to start taking a step forward. If we can get the culture to change, history can be different.
IDEA:
We created a call for change that empowered people to get out of those abusive environments that cause them suffering, developing emotions and reflections to tell stories, while communicating the existence of service programs aimed at supporting victims of gender-based violence. Using real testimonies of real victims, we were able to show how people managed to change their story to a positive one.
RESULTS: We created a social movement that empowered individuals and communities to take action. We mobilized and took the message from person to person to connect with the culture and change the history of gender violence in Puerto Rico.
