🤔 How Generation Z is revolutionizing marketing? 🤓

Generation Z, also known as the post-millennials, is a generation born between 1995 and 2015. This generation is revolutionizing the marketing world. Generation Z youth represent approximately 23% of the Puerto Rican population, therefore, it is important to understand how this generation is changing marketing.

First of all, Generation Z grew up watching economies change rapidly, they have also seen their millennial predecessors struggle with the traditional ways of success. And the last few years (Post Hurricane Maria) showed them how unpredictable life can be.But, surprisingly, in the wake of these "social traumas" Generation Z discovered that uncertainty brings freedom. This generation is the most educated, but they question the traditional conception of making a career and have a high intention of "entrepreneurship and being their own bosses".

Generation Z is more digital than any previous generation. This generation grew up with technology, which has allowed them to develop important digital skills. These digital skills are important for marketing as they allow brands to reach Generation Z in new and different ways. In addition, Generation Z is more self-aware and inclusive than any previous generation. Gen Z youth are interested in the world around them and want to be part of something that has meaning to them. This means brands need to be honest and authentic if they hope to appeal to Generation Z consumers.

Also, Generation Z is more accustomed to video content than any previous generation. This generation is more likely to watch content online, so brands need to take advantage of this trend by investing in video content. Advertisers also need to ensure that the content is relevant and designed to appeal to Generation Z. Generation Z is more privacy conscious than any previous generation. Generation Z is concerned about the security of their data and do not like having information collected about them without their consent. This generation is more focused on privacy and control of personal information. This means marketers need to be more vigilant about gaining the trust of Generation Z and not abusing their private data.

Generation Z is a highly connected generation. This generation is constantly online and uses various platforms to communicate. This generation is accustomed to digital interaction and expects companies to offer them personalized digital experiences. Digital marketing and social media play a very important role for marketers to reach Generation Z. Video ads, social media content, influencers, "streaming tv," music apps and mobile video gaming are some of the ways companies should capitalize on to reach these young people. The metaverse is also creating new opportunities to engage this generation.According to a study conducted in the U.S., U.K. and Japan, 70% of Generation Z gamers are looking to interact in non-gaming video game worlds.Even the same study states that 1 in 4 are investing in Crypto and 1 in 10 in NFT.

Finally, Generation Z's focus is on authenticity and human connection, one that marketers have begun to embrace. As members of Generation Z continue to emerge and influence the economy, it will be important to be aware of their behavior to develop effective marketing strategies. While marketing is becoming more personalized and experience-centric, our goal remains the same: Humanize brands to foster a person-to-person connection. Ideas & Marketing#poweredbypeople
